Hair Transplantation into scars
Patients may come to The Cole Clinic with a scar from an injury where the hair no longer grows, and the surrounding hair is not enough to cover the scar. This is often the result of a motor vehicle accident or burn where skin grafting might have been used initially to heal the wound. Dr. Cole carefully places the grafts into the often very thin and scarred areas in the natural direction of the hair's growth to eliminate or reduce the baldness of area. When the hair is allowed to fall naturally, the area is often completely concealed.

Graft Repair
Before the advanced grafting technique used today by The Cole Clinic, hair transplants were often performed with disappointing results. They were often referred to as the corn row or doll's hair look. Dr. Cole can repair these older procedures. For example, in the patient at left, Dr. Cole removed some of the old grafts and separeated them into follicular unit grafts and placed them back into the scalp. Additional grafts were inserted between the existing larger grafts to hide the corn row appearance and to achieve a fuller natural look.
